Homeowners that are declared to be late on their mortgage payments has dropped to the lowest average nationwide percentage in 18 years.
CoreLogic’s most recent Loan Performance Insights Report for October 2018 the nationwide “30 days or more delinquent” rate was down to 1% from the same time in 2017. This makes the current national mortgage delinquency rate only 4.1%. This sets a milestone for the lowest rate seen since October 2000. The foreclosure rates have also fallen from 0.6 to 0.5%. Areas affected by recent natural disasters such as flooding, wild fires, and hurricanes have seen expected spikes in these rates. Looking specifically at the Denver market it should come as no surprise we are below the national average at 1.7%.
